 On
Sunday I led the Liturgy of the Word at the Cathedral 10:00
Mass. While we were discussing the 1st Reading, I posed
the question – If you were in charge of creating peace in the
world, what would you do? One child responded, “I could wear a
t-shirt with PEACE written on it.” I thought that was a good
suggestion … and then a 5-year old said, “That wouldn’t do any
good; kids would just think it was a regular t-shirt.
Perhaps tonight as
your family gathers around the dinner table, I encourage you to pose
my question to one another, and then I
challenge you to act on the suggestions made.
