Since 1987, I have been
teaching in Catholic schools in the Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids
dioceses. I came to St. Andrew's in 1994 and have enjoyed every year.
I began as a middle school science teacher and in 1997 became the
sixth grade homeroom teacher and one of the eighth grade math
teachers.
I am a graduate of Western
Michigan University with a B.A. in English and a Master's Degree in
Educational Leadership.
It is my educational
philosophy that each child can learn and will learn when presented
with information that fits the student's learning style and specific
needs.
I am married with two kids
and a very fat cat named "Muffin." I love to read and I love to tell
really silly jokes like "What kind of pliers do you use in arithmetic?
Multipliers!
