I’ve
been at St. Andrew’s School since 1995. I taught in Detroit,
Bay City, and Grand Rapids schools for many years.
I have a B.A. in Music
Education from Madonna University, with additional studies at Wayne
State University, Notre Dame and Western University.
My philosophy of
education is…
All students have a
right to learn. There needs to be a climate of acceptance and safety
for most students to learn. Each student brings his/her own gift to
the class. That gift needs to be nurtured.
I love teaching. I
have always wanted to be a teacher…you can ask my four younger
brothers…they had to endure my fancy by sitting on the steps and
reciting their alphabet and numbers.
I love to fish, garden and read.
I’ve always wanted to paint watercolors. Last year I
began by taking a Community Ed. Class…I love it. Now I paint whenever
I want to escape the busyness of my day.
