I have been touching lives and teaching at St.
Andrew’s School for three years. My career in teaching started
6 and a half years ago in the Detroit area. I taught in Lake
Orion for one year as a 1st and 2nd Grade teacher. Then I married
and moved to Grand Rapids to start life anew. I began working
with the Grandville and Wyoming School District’s. I worked
with them for two years. Finally, I found St. Andrew’s. There
was no turning back. So here I am!
I have a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education
from Central Michigan University. I am currently trying to pursue
a Masters in Reading.
My educational philosophy is:
“To use my creative skills in all fields of
education, to enhance and inspire the lives of my students.
To dedicate my heart filled with compassion
toward my teaching responsibilities, always caring for and encouraging
my students.
To become a role model for my students so that
they will learn how to treat others, respect them and be fair.
To create a challenging environment in the classroom
so that every student will reach his or her maximum potential
scholastically and socially.
To treasure each student as an individual because
each child has different needs that must be met.
To develop the ‘whole person’, so that my students
will be prepared for the years of school ahead of them as well
as the real world around them.
To value my students, to show them respect,
and to build their self-esteem in a positive way daily. When
my student reach adulthood, I want to be a teacher they remember
because they knew I was there for them and cared.”
“The object of teaching a child is to enable the child to get
along without the teacher.”

If you need to talk with me please leave a voice
mail and I will return your call. Thanks!
Things I enjoy outside of school:
“I love spending quality time with my family and being a mother.
I also enjoy being on our boat, walking, working in the yard,
playing with our dog, reading, scrap booking, and fishing.”
