| My
name is Steve J. Jazwiec and I am the shared-time computer teacher
for grades 1-8.
I am a graduate and proud football alumni of Grand Valley State
University, where I earned my Masters Degree in Educational
Administration.
I started my teaching career at Sacred Heart
School in 1977 and worked for the Diocese for eight years in
various positions from grades 4-8.
Presently I am employed by Grand Rapids Public
Schools where I have taught classes from pre-school through
twelfth grade. I have also coached high school football and
served as a middle school athletic director in the City League.
When I’m not at school, I am involved in a variety
of community service work. I am serving my second term on the
Rockford City Council and am currently mayor. I’m also on the
Rockford Area Arts Commission and the treasurer of the Grand
Valley State Football Alumni. My family is also a host family
for the West Michigan Whitecaps.
I recently celebrated my 30th anniversary with
my amazing wife Susan. I have two wonderful grown children and
two beautiful grandchildren. In my spare time I enjoy swimming,
golfing, racquetball, and biking the White Pine Trail. I also
enjoy listening to my wife’s radio program on WYCE.
