My name is Sue Cook. I am happy to be one of
the new staff members at St. Andrew’s School. I graduated from
Michigan State University many years ago (Go Spartans!) with
a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. I began my teaching
career as a Montessori aid and teacher, and then took time off
to stay home with my children until they started school. I was
able to enjoy the flexibility of substitute teaching for eight
years while my children were young, and finally went to work
full time at St. Francis Xavier in 1993, teaching third and
fourth grade. I have now moved up in the world to fifth grade.
I believe that each student is a unique individual,
and should be given the opportunity to learn in an environment
that allows him or her to develop at his or her own rate. My
job is to assist the parents to help each student reach their
full potential and fully develop their God-given talents.
My husband and I have two daughters and a son-in-law.
I love to travel, shop, read, watch my students’ sporting events,
and spend time with family and friends.
A little trivia: The school library was my geometry
class when I attended Catholic Central (a few years ago).
